| Located on the bustling high street in the charming town of Marlow in Buckinghamshire, The Marlow Bar & Grill is a favourite dining destination with local residents, offering seasonal dishes freshly prepared on-site. Just a few yards away from the River Thames, the restaurant’s decor has been inspired by the boating activity of the river, highlighted by the use of navy blue leather, teak, and stainless steel. Complementing this look, the monochrome photographs adorning the walls give the building both a modern feel and a sense of nostalgia. Visitors to the restaurant can relax and enjoy themselves in the bar lounge, or alternatively dine in the restaurant whilst watching the chefs in action in the open kitchen. There is also a heated undercover terrace located at the rear, which is perfect for whiling away the evening al fresco style. |

Customer Reviews
Despite being seen as “the place to go” in Marlow at the moment, The Marlow Bar and Grill really is rather average. The food, which there is nothing particuarly wrong with but for the prices that are being charged, consistently fails to meet expectations. As I say, its not that the food isn’t “nice” but it just lacks something special that makes the diner feel that bit more satisfied with what they have ordered. The lacklustre food however was not the biggest issue here, the appalling service and general lack of urgency was quite off-putting. The staff seemed reluctant and highly moody to carry out the simplest of tasks and you literally had to wait a light year to get your food. We must have been in there for at least an hour and a half and we ordered from the “light bites” section of the menu. In general, I would give this place a miss to be honest, reasonable food and a decent atmosphere, but for the same price, you can get better.
